LCM Systems
Welcome to the 4th News and Views LCM Systems Newsletter

As we draw to the end of 2012, I can safely say that it has been one of the most exciting years in LCM Systems' history. Not only have we introduced our new Corporate Identity, substantially expanded our Isle of Wight headquarters and introduced new fast turnaround of ex-stock products but we have also beat the recession and have seen both an increase in sales and profitability for the company.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all our customers and distributors for contributing to this success.

I hope you enjoy this issue of News and Views and have a happy and prosperous 2013.

With kind regards,

Steve Sargeant,
Managing Director

Business Update

New Look for LCM Systems

We are pleased and proud to announce the official launch of our new corporate identity and website. We made the change to reflect our growing status in the global industrial marketplace. The logo has been redesigned to show a modern and forward-thinking company, whilst still signifying our industrial focus.

Our website at www.lcmsystems.com has also been redesigned and updated to enable you to quickly and easily find the products you are most interested in. The new Resources area provides a valuable repository of technical material. A host of datasheets are available as free downloads, along with instruction manuals and free software for the LCM range of datalogging and telemetry instrumentation.

In addition to our new look online we have also expanded our Isle of Wight headquarters by over 70% to provide additional space for ex-stock products and a new testing area. More about our new testing capabilities soon.

New Generation T24 Relay Module

We are pleased to announce the launch of the latest addition to the T24 wireless telemetry system for multiple data acquisition in real time. The T24-RM1 is a new generation of relay module that offers 2 power relays each of which can be assigned a set point and triggered from either one T24 acquisition module or a summed group of up to 8 units. The modules have internal antennas that deliver a wireless range of up to 200m (650ft). We can offer a fully integrated system solution comprising of load cells and wireless telemetry products, packaged into a fully functional bespoke solution to meet specific requirements of customers.

Do my Load Cells really need to be tested and traceable?

Absolutely! Load cells are often used in safety-critical conditions and failure could be catastrophic. An example I heard recently was that a company supplied a 500t load cell that failed, only for the customer to find out that the supplier had only tested the product to 200-300t, as that was all they were able to do in-house and were not prepared to pay for external testing! All load cells you buy from LCM and they are all traceable to UKAS (The United Kingdom Accreditation Service).

Application story

After initially approaching LCM for a customised load cell, one company were supplied with a complete CoG system, together with customised PC software for an Offshore Jacking System. The experience and expertise of LCM Systems saved this particular customer both time and money getting the systems installed and working. The full story can be seen here.
