New investment in our testing and calibration capabilities 📰
9th Oct 2026LCM Systems Ltd has further expanded our in-house testing capabilities with the commissioning of a newly designed 50-tonne test machine at our manufacturing facility in Newport, Isle of Wight.
Designed in-house by the LCM Systems engineering team, the machine was manufactured in partnership with an established family-run engineering company based in the Midlands, UK. This collaborative project combined LCM Systems’ specialist knowledge of load measurement with extensive British manufacturing expertise.
Operating across a range of 0 to 50 tonnes, our new machine delivers excellent measurement performance, achieving Class 0.5 accuracy from 5 kN upwards and Class 1 accuracy from as low as 3.5 kN. This new addition complements our existing seven machines, enabling us to provide calibrations traceable to UKAS National Standards for load cells with load ratings from 5kgs to 1500 tonnes.
Made possible as a result of the significant growth LCM Systems has experienced over recent years, this latest investment strengthens our ability to manage increased production requirements, maintain high levels of quality and ensure we have the capacity to support our customers’ future requirements.
