50te ATEX Dual Bridge Load Pins for Winch Load Monitoring Application 📰
13th Apr 2018Supplied for use as part of a large winch load monitoring system, these 50 tonne ATEX certified load pins will provide feedback from the main winch payout system for additional overload protection. As a further safety measure the customer also requested dual redundancy to enable the load pins to continue to function even in the event of damage or failure of one of the strain gauge bridges. Also required was 3.1 material certification and witnessing of the calibration by ABS.
This order was additional to a larger order for 32 x 650 tonne load pins for the same project. The bigger pins will be installed in the winch sheaves to monitor loading on the chain during pay in and pay out (see our 9th March news post for further details).
