Annular Load Cells Measure Tension in Wire Ropes 📰

For one of our UK customers we have just completed a batch of 8 custom designed annular compression load cells. Manufactured from stainless steel and rated to 40kN, these small 50mm diameter load cells have a 20.3mm centre hole to suit a 20mm thread. Each has been calibrated with an SGA-A amplifier to give 4-20mA output. The load cells will be installed on platforms suspended on four steel ropes, each of which have a steel rod attachment. The load cells will be fitted around the steel rod between a steel plate and nut to measure tension applied to the wire ropes.
