It is being installed in an offshore installation and needed to be able to withstand permanent submersion in seawater. Made from 17-4PH stainless steel and fitted with a SubConn connector, the load pin is suitable for long term operation in a harsh subsea environment and will provide reliable load monitoring data for many years.
