Tension and Compression Load Cells for Renewable Energy Application 📰
15th Dec 2017Despatched this week were these two 25kN tension and compression load cells that will be used on a renewable energy project. Submersible to 50m and with a male thread one end and a female thread the other, these load cells achieved an accuracy of 0.03% of rated load. They will monitor the tension on the tether lines of tidal energy devices to ensure it stays with safe limits and provide warning of any potential overload situations that could result in detachment from the sea bed.
