Submersible Load Link with Data Logger 📰
6th Feb 2026We recently supplied a 40kN rated stainless steel submersible load link with a data logger for use in an offshore wind farm project in the North Sea. The requirement was for a suitable load monitoring system capable of recording the forces on a wind turbine mooring assembly caused by wave and current dynamics. A sampling frequency of 1Hz was required along with a long internal battery life to minimise the number of times the unit needed to be replaced over the one year data collection period. The system LCM Systems supplied was suitable for submersion depths up to 300m and featured a Micro SD card with the capacity to store up to 1 billion values. SubConn connectors were supplied from the load link to the data logger, with the customer deciding to purchase two data logging units so they could simply switch them out when the battery needed re-charging.
