Meet The Team - David Willmington 📰
5th Aug 2020This week we’d like to introduce you to David Willmington, joint owner of LCM Systems Ltd. Back in 2001, David teamed up with Managing Director, Steve Sargeant, to purchase the company, and has worked with Steve to grow the business from a small enterprise that focused solely on load cells for the UK yachting industry, into the global market leading manufacturer of standard and custom design load cell solutions it is today. David has many years of experience in the load cell industry, having established the world-renowned microelectronics company, Mantracourt Electronics Ltd, in 1972. The company is a supplier of key technology to OEM sensor manufacturers and specialises in strain gauge signal processing, analogue to digital converters and innovative wireless solutions. When the opportunity arose to invest in LCM Systems, the obvious synergy between the two businesses made it an ideal fit, and both companies continue to benefit from a close working relationship. Although David is now enjoying semi-retirement, he still holds the position of Chairman/owner of Mantracourt, as well as retaining joint ownership of LCM Systems.
